My mother taught me at any early age that if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. My first thought was to just post the score with nothing else, but I couldn't do that. So to get through this version of the Wrangler blog you will have to fill in the blanks. It was the best I could do to try and stay nice.To help you I bought a vowel - "A". I would have bought another but that was all I could afford with only one goal. But, because the Zamboni was broken they gave me a free vowel and I chose "E". NO WONDER THE WRANGLERS HAVE THE _ E _ _ _ _ THEY DO.
Shots for the game were 26 for the Wranglers (9-12-5) and 50 (14-19-17) for the Tomahawks. It is interesting to note that 5 of the 7 Tomahawk goals were made during power plays. The only Wrangler goal came at the start of the 2nd period during a 5 on 3 power play by Grant Long, assisted by Paul Blase.
The other interesting note is that there was no ice cut for the game or in between periods since the Zamboni was broken. Instead they had rink staff out on the ice with shovels picking up the extra shaved ice. Hmmm? They say that the parts were ordered and the Zamboni should be operational tomorrow. The other routine that was not done prior to the game was that there was no national anthem or announcement of a starting line up. Were these anomalies enough to affect the Wranglers play?
Hopefully the Wranglers will play _ E _ _ E _ tomorrow. If not, I'm not sure I can continue to be a Wrangler fan. It was so _ A _ _ to watch. C'mon Wranglers lets kick it up a couple of notches, at least just one. Please.
