Pride of the Pacific Division?

The Seattle Totems went 0-3 at the USA Hockey Jr. A Tier III National Hockey Tournament. Seattle was the only Jr A Tier III team at the tournament to go 0-3, so out of 12 teams they ended up "dead last." The Totems had a whopping 4 Goals For (GF) and an embarrassing 12 Goals Against (GA). The "Pride of the Pacific Division" Seattle Totems were the worst team at Nationals. The only redeeming fact was that the Totems probably won the "good sportsmanship" award (if such an award were given) with the least amount of penalty minutes at 34. Wow! Can you believe it? Defensemen Sam Ballenger ended up being the top scorer with 1 goal and 1 assist. Hmm? NorPac scoring leader Schulze had 1 assist. Hmm? The Wranglers former goalie Nick Cafrelli played two games, had a 2.79 GAA with a save percentage of 0.925%. He was the top Totems goalie. Funny though, that a former Wrangler was the bright spot for the Totems. Way to go Nick! Finally, the Seattle Totems helped prove to all of the US Junior hockey community that the NorPac Pacific Division is the worst Junior A, Tier III league in USA Hockey. Hoorah! Totems Hockey. Maybe Junior B or Junior C?

Unfortunately the Helena Bighorns lost to the New Hampshire Monarchs who are headed to the Championship final to play the New Jersey Hitmen. This is a re-run of last year's Championship final. If I figure correctly, the Big Horns probably ended up in 5th place based on GF (10) and GA (10). Way to go Big Horns.

One more time, "I am glad this season is over."
