Wranglers Mauled

After a great OT win, the Wranglers returned to status quo - getting only 21 shots and 1 goal but letting 67 shots and 7 goals. The 3rd period totaled 3 shots for RV to 25 shots for RC. Embarrassing. Getting doubled in shots for a game is bad, but tripled is stinky. Clearly River City was not going to let a repeat of Friday happen where they got outplayed and let the game go to the Wranglers. As everyone knows there's no defense so I guess that's an excuse to allow 67 shots. Whatever. What saves the Wranglers? Goalies, Colin McGill has a GAA of 5.49 and Kramer has a GAA of 6.00.

Many can say the boys are doing their best and they're going to gel, but it ain't good enough against skill, experience, and speed. The best for the Wranglers are Fegan and Purslow. The Wranglers have 7 goals so far, and Purslow has 6 points (1 G, 5 A). He's been involved with almost every Wrangler goal except 1. The Wranglers do have some fight and determination though. Especially, Miglioretto who is full of 'piss and vinegar' and is not taking any crap from anyone.

Next weekend the Wranglers travel up north to Puget Sound who easily handled TriCities in two games. My prediction is that it will be a tough go for the Wranglers.
