Titans 11, Wranglers 0. Ugh!

Wranglers lose to the Titans 0-11. Titans made a total of 84 shots on goal in the game to only 22 shots for the Wranglers. The Titans were full of hustle, hits, and tenacity for the whole game. Just look at the Titans shots on goal and that will tell you they were in control of the game; 1st period 26 shots, 2nd period 25 shots, and 3rd period 33 shots. The second period was the best for the Wranglers in that the Titans scored only 1 goal. The 3rd period was the worst for the Wranglers with the Titans scoring 7 goals.

Listening to the game it became clear that the Wranglers could not control the puck through the neutral zone. The Wranglers seemed to continually lose the puck in the neutral zone. The other thing I noticed from the broadcast was that the Titans were making most of their shots from the points. You would hear time and time again, "Shot made from the point. Deflected by traffic in front. Another shot, rebound, the puck is passed out to the points. Another shot, score." Again, I will say, if you control the puck you control the game and if you control the game, you have a good chance of winning. Not controlling the puck and your chance of winning the game is almost nil. That's basic hockey. There's not much else to say or write about.

The Wranglers had 7 power plays, but failed to score on any. The Wrangler's Power Play is the worst in all of NorPac at 5.6%. In addition, there were passes lost and missed shots on goal. It was painful to listen to the game. The Wranglers need help. Any suggestions?

The Wranglers will play against the Seattle Totems next weekend, Nov. 28 & 29 in Medford at the RRRink. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
