Wrangler Fans Speak Out!

I posted some questions to some Wrangler fans and here's the answers...

Question: The Wranglers had a disappointing season, why are you a Wrangler fan?
Fan reply: "The team gives our hockey playing children a view of a higher level of play. Also, the Wrangler boys, our boys, are out there showing raw energy and desire. They’re not polished & paid, they’re young & talented boys who are aspiring to greater levels of play and while they’re away from family and friends, it is our privilege to cheer for their triumphs and support them in their disappointments. "
Fan reply: "I am a hockey fan in general. To have a team here just gives me more time with my passion for hockey."
Fan reply: "Junior Hockey is a chance for players to develop and grow. It separates boys from men. Why the Wranglers? They only got boys including coaches. What men? I dunno."

Question: What was your Wrangler highlight of the season?
Fan reply: "Having the opportunity host wonderful hockey players. It made every game more special. "
Fan reply: "The only highlight of the season was their overtime win early in the season."
Fan reply: "Highlight? There weren't any. The season sucked. Pathetic. Maybe the highlight would've been a fight. Saw the You Tube fight of Chase v. Vivian, that's my highlight."

Question: What did you find disappointing about this season?
Fan reply: "Talented players who had potential but blew it by breaking team rules or giving up physically or mentally. Also, a head coach who couldn’t develop the team."
Fan reply: "I was hoping for a few more wins than last year. And that the team seemed to regress instead of progress through the year."
Fan reply: "Pretty much everything. Why the team stuck with a losing coach all season long shows inflexibility by the Wranglers. Total dimwits. There was no reason to keep the coach. Secondly, the poor quality players. Like the blog wrote there was no passing, no offense, no scoring. It's all so disgusting. I gotta barf!"

Question: "Clearly a 1-47 season was disasterous, what do you think was the reason why the season turned out as it did?"
Fan reply: "Coaching. Good coaching would have developed the team, identified and dealt with problem players and not lost good players."
Fan reply: "If there was just one problem, this would be an easy answer, but its a combination of issues. Maturity of the players, The fact at the end of the season we had only one player from last years team on the roster. For many of the players, it was their first time away from home to play hockey. For others, it was party time away from home, oh yeh and play some hockey too. We this year pretty much had a brand new team again. As far a coaching, in my opinion, I don't think that Scott did that bad of a job for a first year Junior Coach. There is a learning curve for for both coaches and players. Since the was pretty much a brand new team again this year, Skaters need to buy in to what the coach is trying to teach them, and the coaching staff has to deal with Skaters who some of them were not really serious about hockey and tried to drag others down with them. Scott was a no nonsense coach, and I think he expected his players to have that same commitment. Some were willing to listen, and many were not."
Fan reply: "As I said earlier, the coaching just plain sucked. Not only did it suck it was nonexistent. Just like on the NHL Channel that coach makes more sense than the goof-balls that we had. Secondly, most of the players sucked. Sure there were a few goodies, but for the most part we got nothing but garbage. So for that I blame the Wranglers mgmt and coaches. They can b*** me!"

Question: "Do you think the Wranglers played together as a team, or was it each player for themselves? "
Fan reply: "The team derailed as the season progressed. They never developed as a team and as moral dropped, so did team playing."
Fan reply: "The last game of the season in CDL spoke volumes. Those players who stuck it out for the last game were playing for the team as a team. Everyone of those players should be proud that they stuck it out till the very end. THOSE players are what you want on next years team!!!"
Fan reply: "Team? What team? There was a team? You had the Wrangler "D" make plays, but for the most part I think the Wranglers were a bunch of hockey wanna-be's that had no business playing Junior Hockey. Go back to sucking your thumbs in "B" level hockey. The Bulgarian Girls hockey team can skate faster and make better passes. Remember they lost 65-0. I bet the Wranglers would have lost to them to. Don't want to name names, but for the exception of about 5 or 6 I think you could have sent most of them packing. I mean how can a defenseman be your leading scorer. Almost every team had a single player score more than all the Wranglers. Oh, and send the coach packing with them. My pet hamster coaches better."

Question: "At the end of the season several Wranglers quit or did things that were against team rules, should they be allowed to return? "
Fan reply: "No. Integrity is revealed in difficult times and I’d prefer to not see those who let the team down have the opportunity to do it again."
Fan reply: "Nope, time to send a message. If your want to play hockey for The Wranglers, you better be serious about Hockey. The league itself should be apart of this. NORPAC doesn't have that good of a reputation in the Junior Hockey world. Its also time for the league to stand up and demand higher quality of behavior of both its players and coaching staffs.
Fan reply: "What? Are you kidding what kind of question is this? Duh. No."

Thank you Wrangler fans for your comments. I concur with all of the answers provided.
